Hina matsuri

March 3 is Hina matsuri, the girl’s festival in Japan. Like A lot of other girls, my siblings and me have great hina ningyo (traditional Japanese dolls specially made for this festival). But my mom didn’t pay so much attention to it when we were kids even though there is a strict rumor that girl’s parents should not display hina ningyo too long. You wanna know why? If do so, girls will marry late. Now is not the Heian era anymore. But it’s my mother’s regret.
